I have just a few questions and/or discussion items about the wiki:
- How long has this Wiki been running?
- It seems under-utilized at this point.
- I think that wikis are usually a great idea.
- Who's reading this?
- People who are just starting with Win32::GUI, really like wikis, and would even contribute once he/she knew enough about it.
- Wiki v. the Mailing list as a knowledge source.
- It seems that most or all user/development information regarding Win32::GUI is in the mailing list.
- Wouldn't a wiki be a better place for that?
- But, how to drive more traffic?
- Always a tough question...
- UseModWiki? v. some other wiki software.
- I've used and managed a number of different wiki softwares in the past including UseModWiki? and MediaWiki?.
- I do like the <perlcode> syntax highlighting here, but UseModWiki? is lacking in a number of aspects: flat file backend, no discussion pages, weird page creation mechanism, more difficult administration, problems with page edit mechanism, etc.
- MediaWiki? is better in these respects, but would it be just too weird (traitorous, blasphemous, ironic?) to run a wiki about an aspect of Perl with a product built with PHP?
